The shystershadows are delighted to have won an Oska Bright Award for their latest film short “The Raven’s Tale”. It is a wonderful testimony to their skills and ability.

The shystershadows believe that by making films that are story led, the company challenges the general perception that the contribution young people with learning disabilities make to the arts culture of this country is unimportant, unimaginative and lacking in creativity. As the late Clive Barker so cogently put it, “we are in the vanguard of the silent revolution”.

Revitalised by winning our second Oska, we are looking forward to making our next film short with enthusiasm and continuing passion.

Kathy Joyce, Director

The shystershadows latest film short premiered on March 29 at the Herbert Art Gallery in Coventry.

This cross genre fairytale of love and loss is the shystershadows’ second film short. Their first “My Bloody Valentine” won the Oska Bright Film Award for Best Drama in 2005. The Raven’s Tale has been submitted for entry into this year’s Oska Bright Festival and the company will know if it has been accepted for entry in August. The Raven’s Tale is available to own on DVD price £4.99 plus postage and packing.
